The radiation sickness narrative was layered on afterward to explain casualties that conventional chemical agents and burns had already produced. Now ask yourself why so many people don't see it. Because the cultural impact of the nuclear hoax has been significant — decades of school drills, Hollywood films, arms-race journalism — and because the mainstream scientists, governments, and media institutions are all inside the same system, all drawing from the same well of manufactured consensus. When you go looking, you find responses like AP News insisting nuclear weapons are real, contrary to conspiracy theory about archival test footage, or fact-checkers rushing to explain why the footage is legitimate. The leap happens when fear of government manipulation — a real and legitimate concern in other contexts — gets extended until no amount of confirming evidence counts as confirmation and no absence of proof counts against the theory. When a framework is built so that every piece of contrary evidence becomes further proof of how deep the cover-up goes, the framework is doing emotional work, not analytical work. The simpler question worth sitting with: if the physics were fake, why do countries with opposing interests all independently invest so heavily in the same fiction?
