Participants in these online communities interpreted certain words in the emails — most notably "cheese pizza" — as coded references to child sexual abuse, constructing an allegation that prominent Democratic figures were operating a child-sex-trafficking ring out of Comet Ping Pong, a Washington, D.C. pizzeria.
